HELP NOW! - Sponsor a Student
Last year Desert Patriot Training and War Party Movement (WPM) teamed up to help support and bring women who have fallen victim of abuse, sexual assault or live in conditions where their voices are unheard the opportunity to learn techniques to help better protect themselves and families.
Our first class was a huge success that was held on December 19th. Thanks to our amazing supporters we were able to sponsor 10 Native American Women to cover all expenses of training along with 450 rounds of ammunition, firearm rental and range fees were covered, along with a generous donation by Oliva Concealed that supplied eye and ear protection for all students and going forward. All of this was all provided at no cost at all for these women thanks to YOU.
Desert Patriot Training is continuing and asking for support to help reach and sponsor future students of all different backgrounds who are in/have been in vulnerable situations. Our goal is to help as many individuals, and families feel safer within their communities. This starts with knowledge, respect, confidence and training. This will be an ongoing project that will fund as many students with training as possible.
When you sponsor a female, you are helping provide the following;
Travel expenses
Firearm Rentals
50 Rounds of ammunition per student
Range gear (eye & ear protection)
3+ hours of range time
Range fees
Providing firearm/awareness educators
Our next course will be August 2023 and we plan to be successful enough with this project to have new students training monthly.
*Please note Desert Patriot Training is a “For Profit” LLC and cannot be considered a tax write off to you.
Why we originally started with War Party Movement:
MURDERED & MISSING INDIGENOUS WOMEN
“Our women and girls are being taken from us in an alarming way. As of 2016, the National Crime Information Center has reported 5,712 cases of missing American Indian and Alaska Native women and girls. Strikingly, the U.S Department of Justice missing persons database has only reported 116 cases. The majority of these murders are committed by non-Native people on Native-owned land. The lack of communication combined with jurisdictional issues between state, local, federal, and tribal law enforcement, make it nearly impossible to begin the investigative process.” - War Party Movement
War Party Movement’s Mission Statement
“The mission of War Party Movement is to protect the most vulnerable in every nation from sex trafficking, mutilation, human sacrifice, abuse and violence. Both internationally and domestically, millions of men, women and children are kidnapped, sold into slavery, or experience crushing levels of deprivation every year. As a for-profit organization, WPM breaks the cycles of poverty that lead to cultures of abuse through education and direct intervention.
In the developing world, WPM funds and carries out operations to rescue women and children from their captors and abusers. Nationally, our warriors work with at-risk youth from all poverty-stricken regions to provide them with transferable skills, knowledge, and opportunities outside of their norm. WPM intends to grow enough capital (knowledge, financial, and more) to provide a hand-up, not a hand-out, and fundamentally change the way women and children are treated around the world.
Inspired and in homage to the Native American people and American warrior culture, WPM derives its name and logo from the Alamo Scouts and our Founder’s Mescalero Apache and Cowboy ancestry. The Native term War Party was chosen as all WPM warriors are ready to protect and defend, with Movement added to symbolize that anyone can be a part of the work. The four feathers derive from the common Native American representation for all the people of the world. Three stripes of red paint honor the ritual of war, and that the warriors are prepared to sacrifice everything for their mission……..
Today is a good day to die!
